We did it! On July 10, 2012, we released our little collection of pop philosophy, “Sky is Falling,” to iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, and the rest of the world and on July 13^th we played an hour long set at Woodruff’s in Ypsilanti to celebrate the release. We followed some awe-inspiring performances from “Little Island Lake” and “The Finer Things.” (These are bands that I would love to just see, let alone play a show with and they were fantastic.) We had a great turnout as old friends, new friends, and family all came to Woodruff’s to support the release.  Not only did we debut our album but also new shirts, stickers, and buttons that we had made thanks to our kickstarter campaign. Those who came gave some rave reviews and we even won over Mr. Steve Battigan , who compared my guitar playing to “Angus Young” (his favorite guitarist). We also did 3 cover songs to honor our kickstarter promises… “Here Comes Your Man” – Pixies for Andrea Battagin-Barbee, “High and Dry” – Radiohead for The Smiths, and “Let It Be” – The Beatles for Michelle Brennan. There was video taken of all three songs that we will be posting on YouTube as soon as we finish editing. Special thanks for Jeff Kopko for taking some documentary footage… it was appreciated and enjoyed.

Here is the next installment in the series of tracks from our new album “Sky is Falling”

A rational man might think that as a band inches closer to the release of their first album that the stress level should go up (very reasonable). Weirdly, that isn’t the case for us (…liar). Part of that has to do with the awesome contribution from our kickstarters that have made this release a lot easier financially (That is a true statement). Again and again and AGAIN…. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! (Really, thank you.)

Right now…

• We are in the process of approving the final designs so that we can order shirts, stickers, buttons, and CDs before the end of the month (fingers crossed)
• Aaron is making videos that we intend to play on monitors at our CD Release Party (and posting them on YouTube? huh…what?)
• Ed is playing the piano (Right Now…Google it… Warning: You may be disappointed by the results… I pretty much know you will be.)
• We are learning cover songs to deliver on our kickstarter promises (from pixies… radiohead…arcade fire… the beatles… and Alabama?)
• Looking over pictures from a photo shoot we took in Ann Arbor (Do these red pants make me look fat?)
• Awaiting the details of our Saturday August 4^th show in Detroit (Saturday? Detroit?)
• Working out the details of a 7” release (oh yes!)
• We are rehearsing for the 7/13 release party at Woodruff’s

There’s more fun stuff going on but I don’t want to bore you with the details.
